Our Mission
Sharing the Beauty of Farmland
Every fall, we provide a unforgettable experience for tens of thousands of school classes, disability centers, youth groups, and families here in our community. They come to enjoy a classic hayride through the fields, getting lost in the 9-foot-tall corn maze, and picking out the perfect pumpkin from the patch. The relatively new “agritourism” and “agritainment” industry is a critical & meaningful way for the general public to interact with and support their local farm.
Feeding Local Families
Our first love is farming and we specialize in root crops, like carrots, potatoes, beets, and onions. We donate any excess produce each year to our local food banks and pantries, like Tabitha's Way. In 2022, we were able to bring over 100,000 pounds of fresh, healthy produce to local families in need. Often times these low-income families only have access to canned, shelf-stabled, and even expired items. We hope to share with them the best we have to offer, straight from the fields.
Preserving Farming for Future Generations
They say "you don't know a good thing until it's gone," and you would be hard pressed to find any good quality farmland left, right here where our communities are. We are so used to the abundance provided by a constant stream of trucks bringing our food in. We often overlook the importance of having some ability to grow and distribute food to our local people. It takes a tremendous amount of experience, machinery, and land to produce at a meaningful scale. That's why we are always preparing for the future need; building seed stocks, repairing tractors, rebuilding implements, practicing with new varieties, and protecting the good soils.
